Till Death

Made this for my portfolio class. Took about a month. The roses are made of paper, with wire in the stems, glued down to the drawing. The skull was drawn with a regular #2 pencil, using a Halloween plastic black skull as a reference. The concept was taken from the common phrase, "Till death do us part;" hence, the use of roses (the flower for love). The project was to simply use paper to construct an object and then make a drawing of it, but I put my own spin on it and combined the two into one work of art. I have to say, it's one of my favorite pieces.
